Our founders — young, idealistic, and full of energy — start their lives together on a mountain ranch in northern California. They strive to "live out their dreams" off the grid and in harmony with the earth. With their growing family in tow, our founders move to Ashland, Oregon, where they spend long summer days windsurfing and exploring nature. Angeline decides the world would be a more comfortable place with dry backsides, so she sews an all-weather picnic blanket for their adventures.
The Adventure Blanket gets noticed wherever it goes, inspiring Robbin and Angeline to make a venture of their “Adventures” by selling the blankets at craft shows and festivals around the Northwest. Robbin and Angeline make it official, forming a company and naming it Sunday Afternoons in honor of their favorite family downtime. Our brand is born! We increase production and fine-tune our products with easy-to-clean, high-tech fabrics. With colorful blanket scraps piling up, we hatch a plan to sew them into sun hats to sell alongside our blankets. Our first style, the Sun Drizzle, strikes a chord with our outdoor-loving customers, who start asking for more styles and colors of hats for their adventures.
This attractive wide brim, UV protective "cowboy" style is a fun addition to your women's fashion hat collection.
